Day 1: Casablanca

This private tour with Morocco Culture Tours starts with comfortable transfer from your local hotel in Casablanca.  At the airport, the driver will be waiting for you. We explore the best of Casablanca if your aircraft arrives early so you may see the Hassan II Mosque and enjoy the coastline "Cornish" seaside. You stay at your riad for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefcahouen

After breakfast, we transfer you to Rabat for a guided tour of the following historical sites: Kingdom Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the grandfather and father of the current king are buried here, Hassan Mosque, a wonder of the medieval Moorish world with its great minaret left unfinished when its founder died in 1199, the Chellah necropolis, and Kasbah Oudaya. Then we travel to Ouazane and Chefchaouen. It's famous for its blue-washed structures in the old town. Its steep cobbled pathways are lined with leather and weaving industries. Day 3: exploring best of Chefchaouen

Day 4: Chefchaouen - Ouazane - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, we drive over the Rif Mountains to Volubilis, an old Roman city that has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue on to Meknes, a neighbouring old and exquisite imperial city surrounded by kilometers of formidable walls. Visit the most important sites, such as the wonderfully decorated Bab Mansour Gate, the water cistern, and the remains of the Palace devoted to Moulay Ismail, the ancient monarch of Meknes and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as his mausoleum and mosque. Continue to Fes at the end of the visits. Overnight accommodation in a riad. Dinner is included in the half-board rate.

Day 5: Fes guided city and medina tour excursion

Today after breakfast our local guide will take you on a journey in to the oldest medina in Morocco that dates back to the 9th century. We’ll explore the narrow winding cobblestone streets of the medina. Your tour will include historical sites of the medina, including the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest university in the world, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine fountains, the famous (and odiferous) tanneries, as well as the King’s Palace and the Jewish quarter where, if you like, you can visit a synagogue in the mellah. The tour ends afternoon at your riad.

Day 6: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga desert

After breakfast we’ll leave Fes travelling towards Ifrane, a beautiful mountain village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou - a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest (the largest in Morocco, you may well have the chance to see some Barbary apes). Afterwards we’ll travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. We’ll travel via the Ziz Gorges, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, noting how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. Afterwards, you’ll travel to Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving at Merzouga in the afternoon, checking in to your hotel.

Day 7: excursion and camel ride in Merzouga desert

Enjoy desert excursion in the Sahara desert to explore the different parts of the desert. First, we will see the lake of Merzouga that is home to exotic birds, then head directly to the middle of Sahara desert where nomads with their animals still live a traditional life, we will sip a cup of tea with them and see how they live. Afterwards, we take the route where Rally Paris Dakar used to race, then we get to Mifis mines that once used to be exploited by France, time to visit them. We continue our journey by heading directly to Khamlia village that is inhabited by black Berber people. We will have a chance to listen to their music and dance. In the afternoon you go on a camel ride to meet one of the most fascinating sights you will ever see, the superb sunset in the middle of the high sand dunes of Merzouga. Tonight we will stay in a Berber tented desert camp and enjoy a wonderful view of the stars .

Day 8: Merzouga desert - Rissani - Gorges Todra - Gorges Dades

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life after which you’ll camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga admiring the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes - changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the riad, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir and Todra gorges - the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Lunch in the heart of the Gorges precedes a drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.

Day 9: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will continue our desert tours from Dades Gorges through the beautiful Rose Valley and Skoura with its historical mudbrick castles and Kasbahs. Next on our journey, we will visit the cinematic city of Ouerzazate which has become a major attraction for movie makers from all over the world with its biggest studios in Africa “Atlas Studios” where the making of several great movies took place like Gladiator, Kingdom of heaven, Babel… and many tv shows like Game of Thrones. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in the Berber village of Telouet. Travel via Atlas mountains to Marrakech city. Overnight in a hotel in Marrakech.

Day 10: day excursion in medina of Marrakech

Today after breakfast, you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red city of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Lunch is at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon you can visit the “Majorelle Gardens” and Koutoubia tower. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.

Day 11: Optional day trip to Essaouira

Today we travel to Essaouira at Atlantic coast , we will visit Essaouira with a local guide who will show you around the gorgeous and authentic city which is famous for its Gnawa music that has gotten a lot a fame with time and has attracted the attention many musicians to the city, especially the rock and roll legend Jimi Hendrix. The guide will show you through the spice-scented lanes and palm-lined avenues of the fortified Medina and will take you to browse the many art galleries and boutiques. In the afternoon transfer back to Marrakech. Overnight in our Hotel/Riad.

Day 12: airport Casablanca

According to your flight’s departure either to Casablanca airport. End to the tour.
