Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

This private tour with Morocco Culture Tours starts with comfortable transfer from your local hotel in Tangier. The driver will be waiting for you to drive you to Chefchaoun  via the Rif mountains to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains till we get to the blue city of Chefchaoun, the heaven of the photography where you will get the first contact with Moroccan culture.  Overnight in Chefchaoun riad or hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Fes

Our Tangier journey will continue towards Volubilis  crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages, in Volubilis  we will stop to discover  the Roman ruins  and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history , after  the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes  city  the 17 th century heritage where we will stop  for lunch and  hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab El Mansour and enjoy a visit of   Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. After the visit of Meknes, we will drive directly to Fes city where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Fes city and medina excursion

We enjoy 9 day Around Morocco Tour from Tangier by exploring the oldest city in Morocco: visit to the Royal Palace gate, then, to EL-Mellah (Jewish quarter), which is the first Mellah that was built in Morocco, and that was during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, including the renowned Al-Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region; the tanneries; the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit a tile cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight in Fes riad or hotel.

Day 4: Fes - Ifran - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga desert

After breakfast,  we travel to Ifrane” also known as “Switzerland of Morocco”.  Passing through Atlas mountains which contains the largest forests of cedar trees, that is inhabited by monkeys. We will resume towards Midelt passing by the spectacular Ziz gorges. We will head out to the magnificent Merzouga via  Erfoud and  passing by the spectacular size gorges and Errachidia. Next we will continue towards Merzouga along the Ziz Valley. Overnight in a desert hotel with dinner.

Day 5: excursion in Merzouga desert

After breakfast you’ll start exploring desert : Gnawa people in their village Khamlia, where you will learn about the Gnawa music and their lifestyle. . Afterwards, we’ll drive in Sahara desert area where we can meet nomad families still living under Berber tents which are made from wool of their animals. Today our lunch will be a local meal (Berber pizza) after that we will drive back to our Hotel where your camel will be waiting for you ,Guided by an experienced camel man . the camel ride takes about 1 hour and 30 min to arrive to the camp-where you will spend the night- in the middle of the highest sand dunes to enjoy the sunset and watch stars . The dinner will be served at the Sahara camp.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Todra - Dades Gorges

We wake up early to watch sunrise of Merzouga in the middle of the Sahara. Afterwards we are going to ride camels back to the hotel , take a relaxing shower and a breakfast before resuming our  tour towards Todgha Gorges one of the most spectacular canyons around the world passing by the beautiful size Valley. We will stop at the gorgeous, Dades gorges where  you will enjoy a traditional dinner and, spend the night at a local hotel.

Day 7: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the road of thousand Kasbah , we’ll stop at Kalaat M’gouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continuing on to Skoura and the birds valley, you’ll visit the Kasbah Amridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this area after , we will be Afternoon in to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”.  We’ll continue our journey to visit the movie studios , then we visit Aït Ben Haddou old Kasbah (UNESCO as world heritage). Then we’ll continue towards Marrakech via the Atlas mountains pass the highest road pass in North Africa.

Day 8: Marrakech city excursion

The entire day is devoted to exploring Marrakech, as the second oldest Imperial city which has for centuries been an important stop for traders and travellers. Your tour will include the famous Jardin Majoralle, the Bahia Palace and the Saadian tombs. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, with its 66 metre high minaret dominating the centre of Marrakech.  In the afternoon visit Djemaa El Fna Square, the centre square of the medina which comes alive by sunset and through night with local storytellers, musicians, entertainers, snake charmers and the scent of delicious food being grilled over hot coals. Overnight in the city hotel.

Day 9: Marrakech airport transfer
