Day 1: Marrakech - Tahanouet - Atlas Mountains - Agafay Desert

This private tour with Morocco Culture Tours starts with comfortable transfer from your local hotel in Marrakech. Your two-day excursion from Marrakech to Agafay desert begins here! At 9 a.m., your driver will pick you up from your Riad/Hotel in an air-conditioned car and take you to the Agafay desert, which is only 40 minutes from Marrakech. You take an off-road route through Tahnaoute. Before reaching the gateway to simple and lovely Berber nature, take in views of the surrounding olive gardens, orange and lemon trees. We stop for a time at Asni, one of the most gorgeous countrysides in the world. Take a stop to admire the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and the warm hospitality of the Moroccan people.

Continue to Plateau Kik, the entryway to the Agafay Desert and a place that evokes feelings of independence and inspiration. Stop near the lake for a typical Moroccan lunch and spend a moment surrounded by beautiful landscape. Take a sunset camel ride in the late afternoon. Travel to another era while admiring the earth's untainted beauty, as in "Lawrence of Arabia." Day 2: Agafay Desert - Marrakech

Rise with the sun to see the sun begin its daily arc with a chilly blue morning sky, illuminating the desert shadows before becoming a blazing ball of fire, followed by a classic camp breakfast. Begin the journey back to Marrakech around 10:30 a.m. and enjoy radically different scenery than on the way there. Views of the High Atlas Mountains are available. Feel free to request that your driver stop for photos before returning to your Marrakech hotel, where your two-day desert adventure will come to a close.
