Day 1: Fes - Midelt - Merzouga desert excursion

This private tour with Morocco Culture Tours starts with comfortable transfer from your local hotel in Fes. The driver will be waiting for you to drive to Ifran and Azrou. We make a stop at the Cedar Forest where w may see some Barbarian Apes . Then, we pass via Ziz valley. We go ahead to the city of Errachidia. We keep on moving ahead to Erfoud We arrive in the town of Merzouga and relax. Afterwards, we trek camels across the desert of Hamada until the Erg Chebbi stands out. Day 2: Merzouga desert excursion and camel trek

After breakfast at the hotel/riad we explore the villages of Merzouga such as Hassi Labied, Khamlia where you can hear the black musicians from Mali. You may also enjoy an off-road drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads living in tents in the desert and have lunch with a nomad family - Berber pizza. In the afternoon we will ride the camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, drink delicious mint tea, listen to traditional berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert. Day 3: Merzouga desert - Rissani - Todra gorges - Dades gorges

After breakfast we departure from Merzouga towards the gorges of Dades passing by Rissani. Then we continue to Erfoud where you will visit a marble factory where they make tables and other handicrafts from fossils. Then a visit to the Todgha Gorges in Tinghir is planned and finally, you will arrive at the Dades Gorges. The night will be in a riad/hotel where you have the occasion to share a little of the traditions of Berber families.

Day 4: Dades - Ouarzazate

We continue today passing by the valley of the Roses where an annual festival is held to celebrate the pink roses. There is the possibility to see products made from the roses. You will drive along the road of 1000 kasbah. Next stop is the oasis of Skoura to visit the kasbah of Amredil. Day 5: Ouarzazate - Telouet - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

We continue to the fortified village (ksar) of Ait Benhaddou, protected as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO since 1987, is our next destination. The labyrinth of houses, towers, and magazines is a magnificent example of the traditional adobe architecture of the Berber people. Via an unpaved road we reach the mountain village of Telouet, which is the location of Dar Glaoui, the former residence of one of the most powerful Berber princes. Afterwards we leave toward Marrakech where our journey began. Here you will spend the night in a beautifully restored riad in the medina quarter. In the evening, a walk through the souk and across the Djemaa el Fna brings the day to a perfect end. Our driver will drive you to your accommodation as an end to the tour.
