Morocco Tour itinerary for  7-Day Marrakech Morocco Tour

Day 1 : Marrakech

Morocco Culture Tours organizes private tours from Marrakech to the desert in 7-day guided tours throughout Morocco. We will meet you at the airport/train station today and take you to your hotel in the Medina. You will be given a guided tour of Marrakech based on your arrival time. We spent the night in a nearby hotel.

Day 2 : Marakech – Telouat – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Today, after breakfast, we will go to Ouarzazate over the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m) with beautiful views of the High Atlas mountains. We will also proceed through a few Berber villages before stopping for lunch in Telouat and touring the Telouat Kasbah (Glaoui dynasty). Then we go to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will go to the Atlas Studios before arriving at Ouarzazate (filmed here Lawrence of Arabia, Jewel of the Nile , The Mummy, Gladiator and The Man Who Would Be King). Then we'll have dinner and spend the night in a nearby hotel.

Day 3 : Ouarzazate - Skoura – El Kelaa M’gouna – Boutghrar- Tinghir (Todra gorges)

Today, after breakfast, we will go to Tinghir, passing through the Kasbah of Taourirt and the beautiful palm grove oasis of Skoura, where we will visit the Kasbah of Amerhidil. Then we drive to El Kelaa M'gouna (the Valley of Roses) for lunch before continuing on via the Dades Valley and gorges. We will have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel amid the Todra gorges.

Day 4 : Todra Gorges - Tinjdad - El Jarf- Erfoud - Merzouga desert

Today, after breakfast, we will visit the magnificent Todra gorges. Then we drive to Tinghir, where you can walk among the beautiful oasis palm trees, and then to Tinjdad and Erfoud, where you may visit marble and fossil shops and industries. We will arrive at Merzouga village and ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes. We'll be spending the night in a bivouac (desert camp). We'll eat Berber delicacies while listening to Berber drum music. We'll be spending the night in a traditional nomad tent.

Day 5 : Merzouga desert - Rissani - Alnif - Draa valley -Agdz

Today, our camel guide will wake you up very early to enjoy the stunning desert dawn. We will then return to the desert camp for breakfast before riding camels back to Merzouga settlement. Later, we go to Rissani to see the Zaouia of Moulay Ali El-Charif, the mausoleum of the founder of the Glaoui dynasty. We'll also visit a local market and a classic souk. Following that, we travel to Alnif and the Draa Valley. We spend the night in a local hotel in Agdz, which includes dinner and breakfast.

Day 6 : Agdz - Ouarzazate – the pass of Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

After breakfast, we head for Marrakech via the High Atlas mountain (Tizi n'Tichka). We drive towards Ouarzazate and we'll arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon. After a brief excursion to the local medina, we will have dinner at the hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 7 : Marrakech
