Morocco Tour itinerary for  3-Day Luxury Desert Tour to Merzouga Desert

Day 1 : Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges

Morocco Culture Tours  organizes private tours from Marrakech to desert in guided tours across Morocco in 3 day-tour. Today we departure from Marrakech at 7 am, and we drive across the Atlas Mountains (200 km through the High Atlas Mountain).We will have a short stop for breakfast around 9:00 am in a Berber Village called Tadart. Then first longer stop is to visit ‘Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah (16th century fortress classified by UNESCO as a human heritage). Many big movies were filmed there (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven). We stop for lunch in Ouarzazate (the capital city of cinema in Africa). Then after lunch we drive through the Roses valley and the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to arrive to Dades Gorges at afternoon. We will spend this night in the Gorges in local riad.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges - Merzouga luxury desert camp

Today we drive to Todgha Region and explore the valley and its gorges. Then we will travel to Erfoud, where we will stop for lunch and visit several fossil stores and a fossil factory. We then drive to Merzouga (village- the gate to the dunes). We ride camels for almost 2 hours into the dunes from Merzouga lcoal desert hotel and arrive at the desert luxury Sahara camp. We'll drink mint tea with the nomads here before heading across to the dunes to watch the sunset over the dunes. We'll then return to the luxury camp for dinner. After supper, the nomads gather around a campfire to listen to music. In the Sahara desert, we will sleep in magnificent nomad tents.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Marrakech

Today, we'll get up early before sunrise to catch a spectacular sunrise in the Sahara desert. Then we'll return to Merzouga village on camels. We return to the hotel for a wash and breakfast before driving back to Marrakech through Ouarzazatte.
